The most common way to make a PDF is File, Download, PDF. It is free
and instant, and for anything internal it is the right answer. Keep
doing it.
It stops being the right answer when the document is the first thing
someone sees of you: a lead magnet, a client report, a guide behind an
email form. Then it reads as what it is, a Word-processor document. Bring
the same file into Unplain and you get a composed cover, a contents page
with page numbers that stay correct, consistent pagination, your brand
colors and fonts throughout, and a closing call-to-action page. You can
edit the text there too, so fixing a typo does not mean starting over.
